The curved back makes for a comfortable seat. This chair is constructed out of solid Alder wood. We really like this for anyone who may have a hard time pushing or pulling in chairs. It only weighs 12 pounds so it is easy to manage. Assembly is simple. The back and back legs come already assembled. You have to assemble the front legs, stretchers and seat. The bistro chair measures 17 1/2"w x 20 1/2"d x 35 1/4"h. It will arrive unfinished and unassembled. For added strength 4 screws are included that go on the bottom of the stretchers. *Prior to 2008 this chair was completely unassembled.
